Perfection is achieved not when there is nothing more to add, but when there is nothing left to take away”

Design and technology

I have always enjoyed creative projects at the intersection of art and technology. As a kid, I spent countless hours tinkering with graphics software—everything from Windows Paint to Photoshop and 3D Studio. In college, I took my first steps in Computer Science, but programming didn’t truly pique my interest until I started building interfaces for desktop applications and the web. This sparked an obsession with designing and creating user interfaces that are beautiful, efficient, and useful. However, it was in graduate school that everything finally clicked (no pun intended) for me.

Shift in mindset

Graduate school introduced me to a new design discipline: Human-Computer Interaction. It brought about a complete shift in my mindset. Instead of focusing first on a solution, I learned to prioritize the people it will serve—their needs and unique challenges. This approach made design much more meaningful and effective for me, as I now solve problems for others rather than simply creating something for myself or to satisfy a client.

After years of practice, my goal remains the same: to craft high-quality user experiences that meet the needs and goals of the people they serve.
